Resumo

Durante a gravidez ocorrem diversas transformações fisiológicas, físicas e psicológicas no organismo da mulher. Por essa razão, retrata-se a relevância do acompanhamento qualificado por uma equipe multidisciplinar de saúde em conjunto com o cirurgião-dentistadurante o pré-natal.Nesse sentido evidencia-se que as complicações durante a gravidez podem repercutir, inclusive, na cavidade bucal. Deste modo, vale ressaltar que as orientações durante o pré-natal acerca dos cuidados preventivos e educativos, controle da placa bacteriana, alimentação saudável e higiene bucal, devem ser abordados durante todo o tratamento odontológico da gestante. Diante disso, este trabalho teve por objetivo realizar uma revisão bibliográfica enfatizando a importância do pré-natal odontológico para gestantes.

Abstract

During the pregnancy occur various transformations physiological, physical and psychological in the organism of the woman. Therefore, portrays the relevance of the follow-up qualified by a team multidisciplinary health in conjunction with the dentist during prenatal care. In this sense, it is evident that complications during pregnancy may also affect the oral cavity. That way, stands out that the prenatal guidance on health care preventive and educational, bacterial plaque control, healthy eating and oral hygiene, must be approached throughout the odontological treatment of the pregnant. On this, this study aimed to carry out a bibliographic review emphasizing the importance of prenatal odontological for pregnant.
