Resumo

Este artigo discute e analisa a produção de sentido do jornalismo no período de 1990 a partir dois pontos: a identidade do sujeito negro, em sua relação histórica por movimentos sociais, e a representação do jornal paulistano, Folha de S. Paulo. As abordagens do veículo permitem identificar o tratamento concedido aos negros em 1990, de forma a verificar se a representação do veículo está em conformidade ou disparidade com a identidade dos sujeitos. A valorização histórica do jornalismo é o principal ponto de análise, e direciona o trabalho ao próprio estudo da história da profissão, já que caminha em direção à verificação do cumprimento de sua responsabilidade social. A análise é baseada na teoria dos Estudos Culturais e no método de Análise Cultural, de forma a valorizar a contextualização e as vivências particulares no processo comunicativo. A investigação dos textos jornalísticos revela o conflito de memórias existente e de que forma o jornalismo contribuiu para a atual situação de desigualdade desses sujeitos.

Abstract

This article discusses and analyzes the production of meaning of journalism in the period of 1990 from two points: the identity of the black subject, in his historical relation by social movements, and the representation of the newspaper of. The approaches of the vehicle allow to identify the treatment granted to the blacks in 1990, in order to verify if the representation of the vehicle is in conformity or disparity with the identity of the subjects. The historical valuation of journalism is the main point of analysis, and directs the work to the very study of the history of the profession, since it is moving towards the verification of the fulfillment of its social responsibility. The analysis is based on the theory of Cultural Studies and the method of Cultural Analysis, in order to value the contextualization and the particular experiences in the communicative process. The investigation of the journalistic texts reveals the existing conflict of memories and in what way the journalism contributed to the present situation of inequality of these subjects.
